Get out of the shade and walk in the sun
Look around and see what's coming
You get more out of every new day than you ever expected
That's actually how I felt today. Back in familiar territory, back in a business that I thought I could no longer do. Back to what I prefer to do, photography, and being in contact with people and animals.
It was weird to be back, but oh how good it felt! I enjoyed all the action around me, being busy, being away from everyday things. And the fact that I was so warmly brought into the world that was my world until a few years ago.
All about photography
Of course for me it was all about photography. And unfortunately it wasn't very sunny today. A sparkle here and there, and although that is usually better for photography and lighting, I was not always happy with it today. Because of this my ISO had to go up quite quickly, so I again ran into the limitations of my equipment. Exactly what I knew, what I had hoped to avoid, but luckily I could handle it better now. And because of that I could still take a reasonable number of very successful photos.
Often people who breed with the dogs.
For these types of events, the owners are not concerned at all with the composition of the photo. They want to see on the photo that their dog is having a good time. With these photos they want to show that the dog is a good sport dog, an active dog that has a will to please. They want to show the looks of the dog because that is interesting for any future puppy buyers. Yes, it is often people who, apart from sporting with the dogs, also breed with the dogs. The same applies to the woman for whom I took pictures today. She sports with her dogs on different levels. She has a kennel and she had specifically asked for some pictures.
Fortunately I was able to meet her demand and expectations. And so I can also look back on a successful day myself.
Let the next one come!
I did take more photos of course, but unfortunately as it happens when you take photos on assignment, you can't just put everything online. And I always stick to that. So these photos that I place here have been approved by the client to be used online.
By the way, this is also my entry to the BOYER VISION CONTEST, with this weeks theme "Animals"
