Snow at Latourell Falls

Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge is one of my favorite waterfalls, partly because it's the one closest to home, being just fifteen minutes away by car. But also because it is not as popular as the famous Multnomah Falls, which is just another twenty minutes down the road.
Plus, not that many people know that there is a trail to the beautiful Upper Latourell Falls which is just an easy one mile hike to get to.
On this particular day the parking lot was empty (surprise surprise) as it was quite cold, so I had the place to myself. We hadn't yet had the deep freeze we so often see in the Gorge at this time of year, and even the snow was nothing more that a light dusting. But it was enough to keep everyone away, giving me the opportunity to try and do this magnificent waterfall photographic justice.
However, having yet again forgotten to bring coffee with me, I kept my photographic antics to a minimum, but I did manage to get this image.
Artists and photographers are typically their own worst enemy when it comes to critiquing their own work and I certainly fall into that category feeling that this image has something missing. However, friends and family tell me otherwise and I have learned over the years to trust their judgement.
This is the first real public viewing for this image even though it was taken a couple of years ago, so I would be very interested in reading your constructive criticism regarding this piece.
