Today I would like to show you some pictures and two small videos of the carnival parades in 2016. The pictures were taken in Greece in the port city Patras in the Peloponnese

This is not Köln or Mainz, this is Patras in Greece. It is almost inconceivable what happened there on Sunday during the parades. Every inhabitant of Greece's third largest city with just 200,000 inhabitants seems to participate. Almost everyone is dressed up and the parade goes on for 3 hours. I was wondering where all the people who took part in the move came from. There were thousands of them.

An absolute highlight you should have experienced once. Flights are available at this time of year as well as accommodation for little money. I can only recommend everyone to have a look at the spectacle. For us it was a great day and an unforgettable experience.
