Beach photoshoots in Miami - part 1
During my recent trip to Miami I organized several photoshoots with local models. I always wanted to do a beach shoot, but it can be pretty hard finding models when organizing a shoot abroad, especially if you don't have any contacts in the area. I used an app called FSTOP - it's like Tinder for models, photographers and makeup artists. The concept is great, the only problem is that the platform isn't that established yet so there aren't that many users on it at the moment.
I was lucky however!
Here are some pictures I took of Shell Ellington (an absolute sweetheart by the way).
Beach photoshoots can get really windy - my model had amazing long hair that looked great in the wind
Pictures might look pretty sleek but if you saw what I was doing to get those shots it was far from glamorous. A beach shoot means you will get your butt wet and your shoes full of sand. Luckily my Lumix GH5 is dust-and-splash-proof. It still needed a major clean afterwards.
One thing you won't see in the pictures is that the whole beach was covered in ugly-ass seaweed (seen behind me and in the water) - apparently that happens all the time in Miami Beach and there is no escaping it. I scouted local beaches for hours to find a spot where the seaweed wasn't that obvious. Finding a good location was definitely worth all that effort though - otherwise the shots wouldn't look so nice and clean.

Love the pics! The photographer could be the model.
