Granada the City of History, Architecture, and So Much Style; Visit Soon!2
This amazing city is so beautiful. Everywhere you turn in the Old City of Granada, you are 'pulled up short' by the breathtaking scenery and architecture which surrounds you.
The cathedral is huge and magnificent; begun in the early 16th Century, it took over 100 years and changes in influence and architectural styles, before becoming the recognisable building of today.
The Royal Gate (Puerta Real), is another stunning building which you come upon. It blends so well into this commercial district; no one would believe its historical importance.
You walk along the beautiful streets and coming towards you are riders in National dress; on their way to take part in a parade.....magnificent they look too.
I am afraid the young will be young; iPhones have to be checked don't they? Even on horseback in the middle of Granada City....wonderful!
The details on the buildings are architectural masterpieces......
but, the fabulous hidden gems, the courtyards and gardens are so beautiful....
I wish I could explain the perfume rising from the planting; and the sounds of 'tinkling' water;
such tranquility and peace....
