Visit a 15th century Church and Sanctuary called Nossa Senhora do Cabo

When you step onto the grounds you'll be soaked into the immense historic breath of the property. The dominant cross placed at the entrance immediately puts you in your place. This is a place of worship and strong belief.

When we got here on this super beautiful warm day almost no other tourists were present. We could not explain why that is but we really enjoyed this chance to immerse into this sight and imagine what it must have been like hundreds of years ago. Who walked across these hallways and huge courts.

What did these buildings look like when this was newly erected and used for their original purposes. It was so nice to imagine the chatter and gossip of their times. It probably wasn't so different compared to modern times, yet the topic wasn't Instagram and Facebook stories, but about the same content. This may revolve around religion, people, ideas, and politics of the time.

Walkin the grounds, passing the Ermida da Memória with incredible views over the lands and the sea.

To visit the place is not worthwhile not only for the historic sight but for the view of the amazing coastal outlooks just as equal. The coastline cliffs of Portugal are often compared to the ones of California. Their beauty is nothing short or even more exhilarating than the coast of California. But that is in the eye of the beholder. You'll decide when you visit!
