A visit to Canoga Springs for refreshing water

We go each week on a fun trip with the dogs to get fresh spring water

Shelter over spring

Before the shelter was built to cover the spring it used to be open and people would throw coins into the water.
The dogs love to run around the stream that flows from the spring. It's hard to believe that a stream that size comes from that spring!

The water flows out about 8 inches deep and is ice cold

This spring is just outside of the town of Canoga on Rt89 between Seneca and Cayuga lakes.
The water is crystal clear and reminds me of the spring water we had when I grew up.
It was soft, not hard and full of minerals like the city water.

It is privately owned but the owner makes it available for public use.
