Meteoroligist Fail (Original Photography)
They said RAIN. Those meteorologists really missed the mark, this time! Does this look like rain to you?!
Tree Herd
The snow is pretty, at least. It could have maybe held off for a few more weeks. Hopefully, it won't bring down too many of the tree leaves. It would be nice to see some more of those beautiful autumn leaves changing color and the next couple wweeks are supposed to be good fall weather. Of course, that's according to the same meteorologists who said it would rain today.
Cammouflage
The bison don't really seem to care one way or the other about the snow. At least, not yet. If today's any sort of omen, we may get to see how they handle being burried in the stuff this winter. They sure stand out nice in the snow.
Minnesota Being Minnesota
At least this early snowfall won't be here long. The temperature is already several degrees above freezing and climbing. I wonder if the meteorologists will say it was "fake snow."

I feel for you!!! I'm not ready for winter either! Did you have snow tires on? I tend to wait until I'm forced to put on my winter tires.
Fortunately, that cold white stuff melted off by about noon. I usually just leave all season tires on, but might have to get snow tires. I was going to get some really grippy back tires for the truck, but that's no longer an issue! I'm very much looking forward to having 4wd this winter. And awarm backside from the heated seats. :-)
It is beautiful fake snow and I am so glad that you documented it! Both photos are fabulous - the bison really do stand out, but that last photo is simply gorgeous!
Thank you. It was pretty and, now that I have a working vehicle again (with heated seats!), going out to photograph the snow isn't too cold. The truck I used to have, with crank windows, made such excursions a little less comfortable :-)
Good wintertime photography equipment is essential! And in our part of the world that includes heated seats.
Don't blame the meteorologists ! The climate has gone mad with all this human interference ..
Lol... Seriously, though. They predicted rain the night before! It wasn't just a few harmless snowflakes, either.
As the song says : " I'm only human , making mistakes...don't put the blame on me ! " Hehe!

The weather has been strange this autumn. We usually don't have this much rain and flooding, either. Fortunately, it's supposed to be dry and sunny for awhile, but still chilly!
