Windmill of Retz - A beautiful piece of History

In the Neatherlands (Holland) Windmills were often used to pump water out of the canals into the sea with the help of the wind. In Austria Windmills were used to grind flour from different seeds such as wheat. There are only few old windmills left and one of them is in Retz - Lower Austria. I usually visit this small town because of the fermented grape juice that is offered in early autumn there. But of course whenever I get there I also need to take some pictures of this beautiful windmill in the highland of the town. There is a very nice wineyard nearby and the food there is excellent.

I like to have some bread with bacon and some liptauer spread on my bread in combination with the fermented grape juice (Sturm), a dream meal for me.
