I have been burning up the camera lately trying to become better and more diverse.

This family wanted me to capture their daughter in her everyday life. Softball is her life. This lil girl is one tough cookie. I bet she will still be standing on this ball field when we do her senior portraits. Hopefully I will have improved my skills by then!

This was my first attempt working with a child her age.

I'm used to the little ones... squeak a toy or flash some candy and they are all eyes! Well, not that easy with this one. I figured out that I had to engage her in conversation that interested her...

I really can't decide if I like this shot. I love the color but...her head! My hubby says kinda weird! Oh well, her mom loved it and that's all that matters.

These will be something this child will cherish from her childhood someday. She enjoyed her photo session so much. She felt special!

Let your kids be kids

Don't force them to take stuffy family potraits. Let them showcase who they are. Capture memories!
