Bangunan museum karya arsitek M.Ridwan Kamil ini dibangun dengan tujuan sebagai pengingat dan bukti sejarah kejadian maha dahsyat Gelombang tsunami 14 tahun silam.

Namum seiring berjalannya waktu museum ini sering digunakan sebagai spot berfoto dengan konsep pre-wedding.Tempat ini dipilih bukan tanpa alasan, gaya arsitek yang unik mungkin itulah sebabnya.
