FROZEN Falls & Mississippi River Pt. 1 - Original Nature Photography
After a long stretch of subzero temps, a thaw came for a few days and a lot of the ice and snow began to melt away.
Then we had one very odd day of weather - the high temperature for the day was at midnight, and then dropped well below freezing during the day.
On my usual walk to the river and back, I decided to explore a bit more than I usually do in the winter.
First a view of the river which remains completely frozen over -
The path down into the gorge was a bit treacherous - ice, water, snow
