Vologda Bearing Plant

in #photography5 years ago

The Vologda Bearing Plant is one of the largest enterprises in the Russian bearing industry, a leader in the production of bearings of all structural groups.

On February 4, 1967, the USSR Council of Ministers adopted Decree No. 102 on the construction of the 23rd State Bearing Plant in Vologda to provide Volga Automobile Plant with components.

January 26, 1971 is the official release date of the first Vologda bearing. Since February 1971, the Vologda Bearing Plant began to regularly send products to the automobile plant in the city of Tolyatti. In September 1971, he produced the first million bearings. In 1975, 13 types of bearings GPZ-23 were awarded the State Quality Mark. March 12, 1981 State Bearing Plant No. 23 received its first award - the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. In 1994 it was transformed into JSC "Vologda Bearing Plant".

It smells like lubricants.

In different workshops in different ways: somewhere hot, somewhere dusty, somewhere wet.

But everywhere there is a metallic smell.

The Soviet atmosphere has been preserved here.

And there are very long tunnels here.
