Hard to Resist the Flame
The kitchen lamp has been beckoning me to sit under it for really high contrast black and white photographs. Today I followed the call and got in it. I love the spotlight effect this light gives so much that you can be sure this won't be the last time I utilise it for self portraits.

Thanks for inspiring me for trying something like that - not with myself as the model, of course. I'm talking about the black and white photos of something or someone much more interesting with a single light source like a lamp like that.
When one knows jack shit about lighting and doesn't care to study it and fiddle with multiple lights, finding one light source works the best :P Helps if you are a fan of noir-style lighting to begin with :P
Oh poor girl, you can't even afford proper chairs so you need to sit on the table!
Well to be honest, it would have made a terrible photoshoot if you'd just been sitting on the chair, back to the camera and smoking.
Or maybe you could have turned it too into a wonderful set of photos.
I know right!? I'm in dire need of proper chairs, but what can you do, not enough Steem moneys to buy chairs. I just need to make due with what I have, hard life.
Or just buy a pillow. Then even with a poor, hard chair you'd be able to have a soft life instead.
Chairs? Who needs those? Look at Japanese, they sit and eat on the floor. Furthermore, ain't there any use with chairs if there's nothing to eat then :P

So good, well done. I am a huge fan of the limited yellow light source coming from top to bottom. Especially street lamps give that mysterious effect I love the most.
I wish I had the balls to go with my tripod outside and take self portraits under the streetlamps when it snows.
