Goooood morning from the side of the river Duna in Budapest. It's a beautiful and warm morning in here and we just ate breakfast and are ready to head out to explore more. Though today we promised to ourselves that we won't be walking a ton, yesterdays 20 kilometres was more than enough.
I'm already smelling that we might be lying to ourselves.....
Are the locals calling the river duna? Very strange.. The name is Danube, or Dunav... Ive grew up next to that river, magical place it is for sure.
I’m not sure actually, because the river has different names in different languages. In Finnish it is Tonava, Danube might be what the English use. The Maps in iPhone say Duna, so that is what I used this time 😁
You are right about Danube, it is the English name. I have heard people calling it Tonava, but never for Duna (without the v in the end). Well I have learned something new today about a river I tought I know all about. Say hello to it for me, it has been a long time since our paths have crossed each other.
