Mushrooms at Ground Level
Gratefully a refreshing reprieve from the dry hot Texas summer.
With the moisture comes all different types of mushrooms
poking their little heads out of the ground.
These are pretty common mushroom that like to grow in clusters.
Getting down to their level on the ground and sneaking up on the underside, one can see all the beautiful, delicate gills all perfectly aligned.
The biggest of this bunch is about 3" in diameter.
The tree mulch seems to be a very rich growing medium for these and many other varieties.
Nature never ceases to amaze me with its incredible, perfect abundance!
