I fed a crow that flew up to me, and then she came back with a surprise.

Lately, I've started to notice that crows are smarter than I always thought. I have a house across the street where the cat lives. That's how a crow often flies in, maybe even the same one, just to pick on that cat. I've even seen a moment when one crow provoked two cats to look at a fight. Yeah, unique birds.

Today's story is about a crow, too, but in a positive way. At first glance, this story seemed incredible to me, but when I searched the Internet, I realized that it really happens. I'll be telling the story on behalf of the man who told it to me.

The day has come that I was very afraid of - it's time to fix the roof in my country house. As they say, "You can't breathe before you die", so I started the repairs the same day as the weather forecast for the week showed that it wasn't going to rain.

It's not the first day of repair. I'm standing, wrapping self-tapping screws in bars in the right places, often distracted by the look around. A crow flies to the house and sits two meters away from me on the frame. I stopped working with a screwdriver so as not to frighten her away. She reacted to it by shortening her distance.

We're about a meter apart. I look at her, she's shouting at me. I put my hand in my pocket and I found the cookies that were there for my dog, and I give them to her. She bounces up and grabs the cookie and jumps out. She looked at me from half a minute ago and flew away.

Two hours later, a crow comes again, probably the same. How did I come to that conclusion? She had a roast chicken leg in her beak. I gave her my hand, but she didn't put it there, but threw it next to me and flew away.

The leg itself was warm, but it was probably because of the sun, and you could see that it was already in the grass. Although maybe the crow just dropped it a couple of times during the flight. Well, my dog wasn't too upset that I swapped a cookie for a ham.
