Hi Steemians
Today we would like to participate in the Color Challenge - THURSDAY GREEN - with a picture we took in Abisko, Sweden. We traveled from Norway over the border at Riksgränsen and took the train until Abisko, which is famous for it's clear sky and therefor excellent for observing the Northern Lights in the winter.
We were seriously lucky with this shot. We only had one single day in Abisko and I was honestly not very optimistic to have the chance of seeing the Northern Lights. The whole day there were heavy clouds hanging low over our heads. All my hopes fainted when the clouds hadn't disappeared by the breaking of dusk.

But when we drove out with the snow mobile - at 9am - suddenly the clouds vanished. The moon was bright and we could see the landscape and also the Northern Lights. It was brilliant an unforgettable.
