good night steemians TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bicycle Race AssociationThis racist International League (UCI) suspects technological fraud in a world-class bicycle race. Therefore they will use X-ray technology and randomly choose a bike to unload after the race in an effort to fight such cheating.

UCI President David Lappartient, who won a landslide election in September last year beating Brian Cookson, has promised the detection of a potential mini-engine on a bike will be one of his top priorities.

The Frenchman announced a series of new steps in Geneva on Wednesday, including the use of trucks equipped with X-rays.

Other steps that UCI will undertake include suspicious bike dismantling and continuing to use tablet devices to scan bikes, a technique much criticized by motorists and some team staff for being ineffective.

In the last two editions of the Tour de France, thermal imaging cameras are also used to detect the potential use of motors on bicycles.

Bicycle athletes caught using mini-engines will face a minimum six-month suspension and a fine of up to 200,000 Swiss francs (210,000 US dollars), while the team can face fines of up to 1 million Swiss francs.
