Frenemies.

A friend is a person who stands by your side. Leads you in the right direction and helps you make the right decisions and choices. My friends have been there for me, through thick and thin. I trust them and value their truth. They have been there for me at my worse, they have stood by me at my lowest, and above all I’d make any sacrifice I can for them. They are left, they are my right, my hands that help me when I’m in trouble, when I am in need. They have proven their loyalty in their actions. They have shown me respect that I have never asked for, and told me truths I never wanted to hear, they fight me to improve me, they are my brothers.

I am a shade, I walk in the shadows of truth. I am the lies that are rustling in the wind. I never stand in front to be seen, I always stand by your side to silently whisper my intentions, my plans, but you think they are words of truth, they are in fact my schemes. I hold you up because I need your success. I guide you when you’re off track. I’ve tricked you into sacrificing for me by being incompetent, I’ve tricked you into thinking I am your hand in your greater plan. I have tricked you into believing the words I say are the truth you need to hear. I am a shade, and I pull the strings to which you are my puppet, and you are none the wiser to it all. You think I am family, I am the death that stalks your blood, I take what I need from you by making you think you need me. I am not your brother, I am his shadow.
