My Vacation Photo Diary

in #photography6 years ago (edited)

Hi folks,

my vacation has come to an end and it was a hell of a ride. This summer I spent a few days in Western Germany and the rest here, in Serbia, but not at the same place.

Should I mention visiting some mountain. Imagine me one month without it, no way. It would be like Dexter without his laboratory or Johnny Bravo without his comb. That crossed my mind because I just read some post about cartoons that marked our childhood. But back to the topic...oh,and I would also like to come back to those places.

I was there because of a wedding.German customs were surprise for me, although this wedding should have been without any, but somebody had another plans. You from Germany know that it's about money in the wood. Long story short, newlyweds should be lumberjack. :D

First you need to cut the original peace of wood to 4 peaces with saw and then you use axe to cut every peace so you can find money....I'm not sure that I explained well, correct me if I'm wrong.

This was my first engagement as a photographer and I hope that I did a good job.

And after wedding, which lasted until morning hours, we spent beautiful day on a beautiful island of water lilies. I needed that peace of heaven, cause all day long I was wearing high heels and dancing like crazy. What is good about small weddings is that you can be surrounded by closest people and not the ones you saw once in a lifetime and you can share that moment with favorite humans.

And ofc here is my Pocahontas girl, (she is not the bride). She glows because of my blause. xD

I thought that is easier to paddle, that's why our friend was the Jack.

I wish I could stay in Germany longer then I did but my work was calling me back and I thought that my vacation just started. What a plonker. xD

After one week, my summer could go on....and no, I didn't go to the seaside. I spent one month at my ranch and it was so nice...just enjoying in the nature...

This is the closest my father let me enter, cause they were a little bit angry and I was without suit.... the storm was coming.

I am a rain lover, not in the romantic way but just rain lover.

and suddenly the sky started to open and bees returned to work.

but guys, sunsets here are amazing....

and this time I didn't have anything against picking up blackberries.

and then I found Janne Ahonen in animal shape.

after one sec he was on the other side...

and sunset again

This is the "web" expert. xD

and this is turkey's lag in your soup soon :(

I spent some time at home too, but most of them I was refreshing my memories, spending time with old friends. At this pool I learned to swim and how to dive. I used to dive through the whole olympic pool by its width.

It would be cool swim here at night.

My post will not end up here, cause there is no pic from the top of the mountain, even it would be the small one like Kosmaj, which is near Belgrade. I came to Sopot by bus, and then I started walking.

On my way to the top, I turned from my path so I can see the Flintstone's home

and this is not the only architectural masterpiece, look at the monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers in World War II.

GPS at the end showed 21km route. It should be 30km but I ran to home and then to the airport, to say goodbye to my friend @laniakea1. This way I will wish him all the best on his new adventure. And buy a car man, some day when @paramecijum and I come there you can give us hell of a ride through the Grand canyon. I prefer Cadilac . xD

Great photos and what a way to tell a story. Feels like one is there, except not getting married. Reading the text, added with photographs, and little bit of imagination from self can transport anyone to that place and virtually experience what you did.

Photos are great so i am sure you did a good job at the wedding. Surely, the couple will be very happy.

that's why I didn't go through the details....and this post would be so long....it was amazing summer for me and I wish you to enjoy the rest of it . :) thanks for nice words :)

Hopefully i will. Summer should always be fun, specially in europe where there is a short time when the sun is kind.

Money in the wood? That's quite an interesting (and fun) tradition! Would have loved to see them struggle to find the money in the wood. It will be really entertaining. lol.

You took really nice photos of your stay there, sadly, your vacation is coming to and end...

it was so funny, you don't need to be Hulk, but you have to have the strength. Like all in life, be persistent. :)

thank you..:) yes, back to work in a couple of days.

Oh yeah, that's true! Persistent and consistent

howdy from Texas sir divisionbell! wow I want to find money in wood! I can chop up wood for that, very interesting custom and the photos are stunning, I particularly like the WWII statue, it's magnificent. great job!

yes, it's awesome gift definitely. :) the architectural wonder for me, for sure. :) thank you

I would chop would all day were I to find money in there!

hahaha! what are you doing here ecoinstant?? ha. you have a comment about everything don't you? love it. wish I did.

You mean there is really money inside the wood? Interesting custom, huh! Does that mean anything to Germans as to why they do that?

Your photos are really great especially the macros. Pocahontas look lovely too. And the architecture shots are well captured, especially the monuments. With these great shots, I am sure you did great at the wedding.

yeah yeah, for real...I think they put it in some metal mold, something like that.

thank you for those words, they mean to me :) It is very difficult to capture weddings moments, you really need to predict at least a little bit, that I found different. I wood share them here but then I would spoil the surprise for them. :) And thanks in the name of Pocahontas, yes she is a beauty!:)

That money in a wood is still fascinating. I wonder what that symbolizes.

Your photos are indeed worth commending. You will get used to wedding photography in time. As they say, practice makes progress.

You're welcome. 😊

I don't know why but I didn't ask. I will google it...:)

thank you again, it really means a lot to me. ^^

Let me know what you find out... 😊

Oh my... You really did search for it. Thank you!

That is a fascinating wedding tradition. I think there can be other ways to portray the couple's strength working together. Anyway, at least there is something really different in a wedding reception - a log and a saw! 😃

yeah, ofc there are...but this was really funny for me and the other guests, and first of all for them, we laughed so much...even though, I don't like traditional weddings. :)

Thanks for sharing your countryside vacation pictures, I enjoyed that :) Is it okay to use some of your nice pictures as my desktop wallpaper? (I particularly like the one with spider and webs!)

I'm protected so it's ok...glad you like them. :) the "web" expert is my favorite :)

I love this eastern european stuff because it is so far away from me, I can experience a whole new world with you through the magic of the Steem blockchain!

Thank you for sharing, I hope you get many many more contracts for weddings, that the future be full of brides and grooms wanting pictures from you!

Thanks for including us, steem on and keep taking gorgeous pictures!
