Super Moon + Lunar Eclipse = Super Blue Blood Moon!
Today is when both a Super Moon and a Lunar Eclipse will happen. I was able to witness it and get some photos. I only used my Fujifilm X-A3 camera equipped with a kit lens(16-50mm).
- A super moon means that the moon is at its closest point from Earth.
- A Lunar Eclipse happens when the Earth passes between the moon and sun.
Here's how it happens in some photographs:
I also made a gif to show the progress on how the moon changed when the lunar eclipse was happening.
I had to improvise with what I have, a mirrorless camera and its kit lens. I didn't have a telephoto lens nor a tripod. So, I stood on our roof deck and I had to somehow lean the camera on the wall and fence so the camera won't shake while I'm capturing those photos. I did minor edits on Photoshop especially on the Gif image.
good shots! thanks for sharing

Thanks so much Janice. Well, what can I say, I can't think of anything to post lol.

I'm really waiting for someone to post about tonight's Super Moon! And here you go! Better photo, clearer and the closest shot I've seen so far here on Steemit! Great Job kuya! :)
Thank you! Effort nga magshot - sakit sa leeg at sa mata - kulang sa proper equip.
I missed the chance to see this personally last night. Awesome shots Dev!

You're welcome, thanks for the nice words!
@greymonolith tried with telephoto lens but we din't have a tripod so we couldn't get a clear image. Great photos!
Mine was handheld. Low SS (100-125), iso was 100-4000, ap was 5.6-11 i think, then manual focus. I just played with the settings.
