Why you MUST have a lens filter in one photo

in #photography7 years ago

This is why you pay a little extra to get a neutral density lens filter to cover all your lenses:

It was a short drop--maybe two feet--but it landed on the lens part. The filter is obviously busted but BOTH THE CAMERA AND THE LENS ARE FINE!! The filter was maybe $20, the lens I got on sale for about $380 and would have cost $450 to replace.

I also love that I can wipe off the lense filter with my shirt, while you should never use your shirt directly on your lens. Too easy to scratch and damage it that way.

Let this be a reminder to all of us!

This as been a public service announcement.
