A Day at Lake Fuschl

Going from Salzburg towards the Salzkammergut, Lake Fuschl is the first lake you get to - and also the clearest in the region. Located around 20km (approx. 12.5 miles) in the east of Salzburg, the Lake Fuschl attracts thousands of tourists each year.
Lake Fuschl's inviting shores are popular for hiking, it takes about 3 hours to surround the lake. The hike isn't exhausting at all and offers many rewarding outlooks on the surrounding mountains.
Lake Fuschl is the clearest lake in the Salzkammergut region, offering drinking water quality.
Hiking around Lake Fuschl you can find numerous outlooks and places to rest.

A bit more than halfway around Lake Fuschl this marvelous view of Mount Schober opens up.
The flora and fauna are lush around the Lake Fuschl area, however, plants are definitely easier to capture than moving creatures...
After the 3 hour hike, you can reward yourself with freshly smoked char from Schloss Fuschl Hotel's own fishing grounds.
Even the walk to the parking lot offers some astounding views of the landscape near Lake Fuschl.
