The greatest learning: to be a teacher! SECOND PART
Hello dear friends of steemit!
Continuing with my previous post about my experience as a teacher, I wanted to show you how we have had fun with the girls by developing an interactive game together with the English teacher, in a competitive manner.
I explain what we did: with the help of my partner, the English teacher María Carolina Hirsh, and with the collaboration of all our compañeras, we created a billboard with the title "Happy Teacher's Day: Guess Who?" for the reason of Teacher's Day, celebrated on January 15 in my country (Venezuela).
We all had to take a picture of us when we were small, so as to put them on the billboard without any identification.
All my colleagues collaborated, the billboard was put together which was very striking and orderly, which began to attract the attention of the girls who continuously passed through that hallway.
The girls kept asking why the billboard, why had photos and who were those photos. Thus, when the day arrived, room by room, the girls were explained that the billboard corresponded to a contest that we were going to hold due to the teacher's day.
They were given a sheet and were told that each photo belonged to a teacher and that each photo had an assigned number. Then, each girl had to put on the sheet the name of the teacher that she thought corresponded to the photo, according to the number assigned to the photo.
It was as well as in groups, the girls went through our billboard and were little by little placing the names, according to the features, eyes, hair color or clothes they observed and related to us, their teachers. It was very fun to hear the comments of the girls!.
I got the number 7 and although I'm very small, there were a couple of girls who guessed that I was a few months old.
It was very fun to carry out this activity, and above all to explain to the girls that we were small at some point, because most of us think that we were born that big and adult, that we always wear the school uniform and live in the classroom !. The closing of this activity was some surprise prizes that were given to the girls who hit the most, which got excited and went to the billboard to verify the names with the photos.
I hope you have liked this anecdote of my life as a teacher.
