Miao Women. Guizhou, China.
This is Part 3 in a short series on the Miao people of Guizhou, China. If you enjoy it, please like and share the images so others can enjoy it as well, and as always, thank you for your support!
Dressed in their traditional garb, these women from the Chinese Miao minority prepares herself before the start of a traditional dance routine. Her headpiece and chest ornaments are traditionally made from silver, and oftentimes these ornamentations are passed down from generation to generation.
Each region, and sometimes village, has their own version of adornments and patterns for their clothing. A wine diversity of it can be seen throughout the area, and with the styles being passed down for so long, the region's textiles and jewlery have developed to be cultural relics.
I am fascinated with clothing and culture.
Excellent photos!
