7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and the world’s oceans - the absolute winner takes 150 SBD!
Hello fellow steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and the world’s oceans - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 150 SBD! Today you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to a continent of Antarctica. I am also adding world's oceans to the challenge as I am guessing it would be fairly hard to get many entries for Antarctica only.

Beautiful view of icebergs and whale in Antarctica
Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.
The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.
Please see the winner of Asian Sunday as well as Australian Monday and give them your support if you like their image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge:

This is a picture taken during my trip to Venice, Italy. We were on a boat going from an island to another. The water was clear, as well as the sky. It shows another side of the 'City of Water' :)
This is great! I love Venice! Thank you so much for taking a part in the challenge and sharing your travel pics. The winner announcement is coming soon. Stay tuned. Tomas
Inspired by the picture of the post. This is my submission. If you want to see more pics of the series click here.
This is in South Africa in Hout's bay. In our last day of Holidays in there, we decided to drive "the most beautiful road in South Africa". We weren't disappointed but the cherry on the ice-cream was this picture. While we were admiring the sea, two Southern Right Whales showed up on the bay. But the show didn't end up here, after a while, another one showed up and exhibition began. The Whale started to breach doing quite impressive jumps, showing its fins and tail. Really an exciting event to admire. It was the best farewell ever!
That's amazing! It is always spectacular to see the whales in wild through your own eyes. Thank you for participating and sharing your fabulous photo. The winner announcement is coming soon.
Well unfortunately i haven't made it to Antarctica.. yet.
But i do have plenty of images of the ocean!
This is an image from the Pacific Ocean showing some of it's raw wave power. This is a rock platform that sits out off the coast of NSW, Australia.
The waves come from deepwater hitting this shallow rock ledge creating some really gnarly barrels and is a big attraction for local surfers.
Well done to the winners so far!!!
Wish i had seen yesterdays Australia contest!!!
Just wow, this picture is just out of this world! Stay tuned, I will be announcing winner pretty soon. Tomas
Thanks Tomas! Will keep my eyes peeled :)
Sick slab pic mate - where on the coast is this?
Cheers mate, on the South Coast ;)
After a beautiful scenic drive across the Great Ocean Road, the Twelve Apostles were breath-taking and magnificent - it was a place where you would simply want to stand, take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh ocean breeze. Do not miss it if you ever visit Melbourne!
What a great place! Would be also great for my yesterday challenge. Thank you for participating and sharing your beautiful picture. Stay tuned for winner announcement coming out soon.
This is me coming out of the Red Sea at sunset after an incredible snorkling session.
PS I trust that since the Sea is linked to an Ocean it also counts for the challenge. ;)
Sea is great mate:).... Absolutely stunning image! Thank you for submitting and taking part in the challenge. The winner announcement is coming soon. Tomas
This picture was taken during a trip to Puerto Vallarta. My friends and I took took a cruise to enjoy the sunset on the Pacific Ocean. It was a great trip to celebrate a friend's birthday and New Years.

The picture was capture at the seaside in Lisbon. I was walking along the seaside of the Atlantic Ocean in the evening and enjoy the amazing sunset moment. It was one of the most impressive sunset view I have ever meet.

The most extraordinary creatures you ever saw swimming in the sea - the bride and the groom!!!
I also hope that the sea counts:-) I also have a picture of these two jumping into the sea, but I guess only one entry is allowed. So here I am with my picture of great italian wedding habits. The picture was taken this Sunday in Sicily - Mediterrianen Sea (Tyrrhenian Sea).
This is so cool! I guess we all have different traditions. Great photo with great story. The winner announcement is coming in the separate post pretty soon.
Back in 2010 we visited New Zealand. This photo shows a wild dolphin around the coromandel peninsula. The ocean is so fascinating.
