7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday - the absolute winner takes 150 SBD!
Hello fellow steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 150 SBD! Today you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of the Norh America.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.
The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.

This is an image from the Pacific Ocean showing some of it's raw wave power. This is a rock platform that sits out off the coast of NSW, Australia. The waves come from deepwater hitting this shallow rock ledge creating some really gnarly barrels and is a big attraction for local surfers.

Europe... damn, this is so tough to choose given all the wonderful sights and photos I have. Here is one of my absolute favourites because of the timing and light of the photo. I call this one "THE ENLIGHTENED MONK" taken in the St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, Rome.

Being a Los Angeles resident, for the first North America pic I had to choose one from my city. This is a view of the Griffith Observatory and downtown Los Angeles from a trail in Griffith Park.

Amazing and unforgettable Alaska.
Our cruise ship was floating between the mountains and directly to a glacier. All the tourists were outside to take pictures and check how it looked like.
To my surprise it was not so cold outside!

can't pass up the opportunity to submit a picture from my adopted home province of nova scotia. peggy's cove is often seen as an iconic symbol of the east coast so it was really exciting to be able to capture an image like this with my own camera...
