Nice collection!
I'm afraid to say how many of these I recognize, having used or at least seen them... I've recycled some of the adjustable lens assemblies into ad-hoc darkroom enlargers...
But I must object to characterizing this as "evolution." Every last one of these puppies was carefully designed by an intelligent human being. ;)
