Color Challenge — Tuesday Orange — crabby crab
until in passing, we find it again.
~ John J Geddes
This is photo from a visit to British Columbia. We were standing on the shoreline of English Bay Beach in Vancouver. The tide had gone way out and the ocean floor was exposed.
What it left behind were thousands of purple shells in varying sizes, most around 7cm (3 inches) in length. Amongst those shells were these tiny orange crabs. The 7cm shells show the comparative size of these little crabby crabs.

such a stunning burst of orange against the deep purple of the shells. Even some of the pebbles are orange and pick up the colour of the crab. Good composition and colour matching
Thank you sir. You are always so encouraging.
I really love it :)
Crabby Crab, gives the shot a nice contrast

Nice captures, and that crab's got muscles ;-)
for a little crab .... these guys were small....I wished I had taken more photos that day but I was enjoying being there. I don't know if these are edible, altho the birds seemed to enjoy the feast.
Nice photos @countrygirl. Success always for you. Regards.
Thank you @zamzamiali!
That crab really shows up well against those mussels!
He does! And because he is so small and his babies smaller, or her babies, we ended up stepping on some.....ew. But the color contrasts were so pretty and obviously not something we'd normally see as the water covered them when the tide was high.
