Nowadays drone technology is so famous among many industries like film industry, wedding industry, photography industry, military operations and for weather detections. So, simply drone technology gaining more popularity among people day by day due to its uniqueness and user friendliness. This project Soar is basically based on drone technology and they used decentralized platform for this drone technology.

Soar is a decentralized global platform for the distribution and monetization of drone content.The Soar platform is designed to offer a democratized marketplace that connects customers with content creators in a secure, trustless and distributed community. Progressively, by aggregating the content collected from thousands of drone operators, Soar will in due course create a mapping protocol as the basis for the world’s first crowd sourced super-map. All at an unprecedented level of detail, using block chain technology to connect and share dynamic drone mapping data.

Today, there is a massive global opportunity to market all types of drone content. Therefore, Soar addresses the growing drone industry. Soar will ensure greater commercial returns for all drone content providers.

Basically, Soar is a decentralized platform which uses the latest drone technology. The main purpose of this project is to connect the customers with the content creators or people who do creations with this technology in a reliable manner.

Soar intends to provide drone content providers with the platform and tools for monetizing their unused or single purpose content by leveraging existing technology developed for mobile geospatial applications and the US military. When a sufficient amount of aerial imagery is collected in an area, this data will be aggregate into a super-map. This super-map will far exceed the level of detail available from existing satellite maps and will allow users to cycle backwards through time to see how an area has changed from the perspective of a low flying bird.

The major challenges in crowd sourcing drone data for mapping applications have traditionally been limited by content authenticity, incentivisation and scalability.

The blockchain is a decentralized, immutable database which the platform uses to democratize the ownership and validity of data collected. To incentivize content creators, Soar will release an ERC20 compatible cryptocurrency called SkyMap Tokens (SKYM) which facilitates the sales transaction. Scalability will be achieved through the decentralized nature of the platform and by partnership with Alibaba Cloud.

SKYM Token

SKYM token which used in this Soar platform can recognized as the spirit of this global market. The SKYM token is an ERC20 compatible utility token that facilitates transactions and is a representation of the supply and demand of drone content at a given place in the world at any given time. It will also act as a staking system for SkySponsor eligibility and as a voting mechanism.

The Soar SkyMap utility token (SKYM), an ERC20 compatible token will allow customers to;

Utilise the platform and reward content creators
Qualify individuals and organisations as SkySponsors on the Soar platform
Create SkyBounties to target content collection for specific locations
Provide the economic incentive for the seeding of the world’s first super-map protocol
The SKYM tokens give token holders a stake in the success and sustainability of the Soar platform with the ability of holder to potentially become SkySponsors and potentially to vote on changes to future market parameters.

SkySponsors and Staking

The SKYM token is an ERC20 compatible utility token that facilitates transactions and is a representation of the supply and demand of drone content at a given place in the world at any given time. It will also act as a staking system for SkySponsor eligibility and as a voting mechanism.

SkyTasking and SkyBounty

The SkyTasker model will facilitate the matching of drone operators with users who require drone footage. The SKYM tokens for the task will be held in an escrowing smart contract where funds are released once a content creator has fulfilled the request. Should either party be dissatisfied with the transaction and automated resolution fail a third party arbitrator can be employed to adjudicate.

SkyBounty is a market intervention tool that allows SKYM tokens to be placed over a section of the QuadTree with funds released immediately to any content creators who submit content in that area. SkyBounties will be used to bootstrap content creation and to advertise the desire for content for any given place in the world.

I personally feel that this project has very practical and reliable concept, because it will cover a broad area of different industries in the world. Simply, it addresses lots of issues in the drone technology. On the other hand, it creates a wide platform for the content creators all around the globe. It will get more famous because it helps to many industries. Also, most important thing is Soar project has a well experienced expert team which can create promising market place for Soar.
