The sea of stars of the island of Vaadhoo in the Maldives
This beach that sparkles and lights up with electric blue at nightfall seems unreal ... This long beach covered with billions of luminous points is called "sea of stars" because its sparkling and sparkling sea water gives the illusion to reflect The starry sky!
The island of Vaadhoo is part of the Atol Raa, located on the equator to the southwest of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean.
Vaadhoo is known for its phytoplankton of the seas illuminating at night when the waves arrive on the beach during the "red tides". These tides are caused by the accumulation of aquatic micro-organisms and therefore a high concentration of water in phytoplankton. These tiny organisms glow like fireflies whenever they are stressed or restless, so wave motion keeps them on. This bioluminescence occurs only in warm coastal waters and occurs on many nearby beaches.
