Stumbling with ignorance in the shadows of beauty

Wearing crosses like badges, pulling rank with their faith

Preaching God’s disappointment in her with silence

Jesus stands by with His hands on her belly

A gift unconditionally loved lay inside

His head hangs, he sheds tears for their blindness

A vision of courage and strength in her choice

Wiping the moisture from his face, she smiles

Forgiving the judgement they placed on her life

Dancing the rhythm of two heartbeats in one

The onlookers squinting at their light, they skip out of sight
