#3 Photo Travel Blog - The Fukuroda Falls in Ibaraki, Japan
#3 PHOTO TRAVEL BLOG
One of my first travels in autumn 2017 was a one day trip to the famous Fukuroda Falls in Daigo, in the prefecture Ibaraki, which is also the one I am currently living in. Ibaraki is a lot of countryside, with Tsukuba as the biggest city. But even if it is the biggest city in Ibaraki, it is still quite small with around 233,000 people. Compared to this Daigo has just around 18,000 people living in it (I can't get why, as it has beautiful landscapes around which I would prefere over Tsukuba maybe).
The first picture is actually a panorma made out of around 7 pictures (I forgot how many it was, but I think it should be around 7) and shows the waterfall in its complete width. It doesn't look like it is acutally big, but it is really. I saw also pictures in Daigo that you can ice climb the waterfalls when they are frozen. It looks super exhausting but probably is a lot of fun.
The second picture is also a panorama made out of around 8 pictures (again I forgot the amount). For this view from above you could go up a pathway and later and elevator to a viewing platform which is quite new as I got told. I highly recommend to go up as you have a really nice view over the waterfalls and trees, which are especially nice in autumn when they get all this different colors.
If you ever has the chance to go there, I would recommend you to go for at least a daytrip. You can even go until daigo with car and park not too far away from the waterfalls, but of course you will still need to walk a way until you are in the waterfall area.

Looks like a pretty falls! It would be interesting to see a long exposure of that one :-) The falls where I live are all still frozen.
Yeah, they are really nice. What do you understand as long exposure? Because both pictures are made of long exposures :) While the first one is 10 seconds the second one is at least 1 second.
Cool waterfall, did you slide down it?
Haha unfortunately (or luckily) I didn't :D
