Photo of the oldest living tree in the world : a Pinus longaeva or Great Basin bristlecone pine with an age of 5066 years! It is located in the White Mountains, California. Age is determined by Tom Harlan.
I think this is the oldest single living tree. There is another 'tree'- actually a forest of trees connected under ground by their roots which is meant to be 10,000-30,000 years old. I think this is the oldest living organism on Earth.
I saw that! Sitting and looking at it got almost spooky when you convince yourself it is still alive and has been there before the Pyramids were built.
A bonsai artist greatest achievement is being able to recreate all that awesome deadwood, this is living art! Upvote!
beautiful photo.
wow i like your post
I've never seen a tree look this old and it's still not giving up. Wait...did it turn itself inside out?
5066? I think it slightly past it's peak 😆
