How To Take Good Photos with a Bad Camera
Today, I'll be teaching you how to take good photos with your low quality camera or smartphone. You don't have to own a good phone or a DSLR to make your photos here on Steemit (or on Instagram) to look all right.
Good lighting is key.
Take pictures when the sun is out. Not kidding. It makes your pictures look like it's taken by an iPhone.
Make sure it's focused.
Wait for it to focus or click the part of the screen where you want the photo to be focused. Blurry photos can look really good if you do it on purpose but if you were to take a picture of something that is "ordinary", I recommend following the former. Trust me, the picture will look decent enough if you make sure it's focused.
Don't take photos with a filter.
Huji Cam and Gudak Pro recently became a thing on Instagram. Yeah, it does look really good when you take photos with it. But don't take all your photos with filters and effects. Even with those built-in filters with your Android phone or iPhone. I t w i l l l o o k b a d. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Besides, your photos will look faux and unoriginal.
Never use the beauty face option on purpose.
I do not mean to offend anyone but your selfies will also look faux and unoriginal too. Don't worry, it's ok to "accidentally" use it sometimes. YOUR FACE WILL LOOK TOO SMOOTH AND IT'S OBVIOUS YOU'RE TRYING TO HIDE SOMETHING.
When editing your photos, make it look natural as possible.
Please don't use those apps that make you taller and skinnier. When you post it, you are lying to people. If you're doing it just for fun, it's okay (but don't forget to note that you edited it when you post it). Please make sure that your brightness is not over the top (except when you're trying to make a "bright" feed.
Experiment with angles.
This will help with your appearance and lighting.
Clean the lens of your phone or camera
I haven't really done this but if your photos look foggy, I recommend wiping your lens with something soft like the cloth used to clean eyeglasses, only when it's dirty.
All of the photos were taken with a Note 3.
Well, that's all for now. Thanks for reading this. Upvote if you want me to keep blogging.
