Sony has been rocking some great sensors for quite some time now. Especially in the non-DSLR realm. They were one of the first ones to have a full 1" sensor in their compact cameras. I have the second generation of the X1 (I think it was) and it is fantastic for a point and shoot. This camera you have covered looks like it is worth a second or third look for sure.
