Quick Intro to BlackAndLight
I feel the moment has come to create a special small corner for some of my works.
I may have mentioned it already, and now I have to share that I love Black & White photography, also known as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while color photography is more "direct and honest", and it represents the outer, external part of what we see, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything.
Black and White photography is an abstract art, as it removes a layer of reality.
Black and white photography transcends the mere absence of color; it delves into the essence of light and shadow, capturing the soul of a moment. The stark contrast between black and white strips away distractions, allowing the viewer to focus on the raw emotions and abstract forms within the frame. This monochromatic palette evokes a sense of timelessness and purity, often imbuing the image with a spiritual quality that color photography might not convey. It invites introspection and contemplation, encouraging us to see beyond the surface and connect with the deeper, often unseen, layers of reality.
So without further ado, welcome to @BlackAndLight :)
Here I will be sharing my monochromatic works, I will try to do that daily but maybe that is too ambitious, given we all have less and less time in this accelerating world.
Anyways, this will be a special, unique place to me.

There have been big problems with a spammer the last few weeks (I'm writing ‘one’ now, there are several every day, but he was very noticeable). I won't go into detail about his behaviour because there could be copycats. In any case, there was a need for action. SC does nothing, abuse-watcher reacts far too late, but there is a group of users who are prepared to downvote. That's why we need to know which (new) account is posting for the first time... ;-)

I really needed this "corner" and I had a vision, in the future there is a "gallery" type of web interface/frontend for STEEM, similar to this popular photographic site: https://500px.com/discover/feed so I share my B&W stuff with people who are interested and it looks modern so I not only brag about making some extra cents from my photos but it all looks great too :)
Reading you comment I understand the situation better and it is good to see there are people here who still try to fight abuse and the biggest form of it I personally faced, plagiarism. As a pro photographer, I had plenty of my photos stollen and misused, there are some parts of the world where people think that everything online is free to use.
I guess I didn't use the best method to create a new account, as not enough recourse credits yet.

Many people do not like this type of presentation of things, now it occurs to me that it is because they are afraid to look into these images, they are afraid to see the essence, the soul. It's scary to see the truth almost always. 😁
So, this type of photography is for the pros, pro not only in photography but in life too.
