Long exposure photography is a favorite technique of mine, as it isn't just clicking the shutter.

It is a kind of light painting, where the photographer controls the light, sometimes captures movement, sometimes creates movement to be captured.

One nice feature of long exposure photography is blurring or sometimes fully removing the human presence.
