Do you know that this car failed to get the road worthiness certificat in Germany? The safety level of it is that of a 1950s small car - so in any significant accident you are toast when you drive it. Also the brakes are substandard.
I heard Tata is planning to make improved models for the european market, but they won't be as cheap as the indian type. And there is already the romanian brand "Dacia", that makes fairly decent cars (already with airbagss, ABS ect.) starting at about 7000 Euro including tax and all.
