The Forbidden City through an iPhone lens - China travel Beijing

Recently I had a photo assignment in Beijing to photographing a wedding.
On my final day, I decided I could not go back home without paying a visit to the famous (Forbidden City). I was tired so I decided to take only my iPhone for photographs.

I seriously enjoyed being light and nimble and not having my heavy DSLR gear with me.

A bit of history according to Wikipedia:

The history of the Forbidden City begins in the 15th century when it was built as the palace of the Ming emperors of China. It is located in the centre of Beijing, China, and was the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty in 1912.

If you are ever able to visit this great city inside a city, I would highly recommend. Be sure to visit early or late as it tends to get really crowded in the midday.
