The hometown of Grigor Dimitrov and mine as well - Haskovo, Bulgaria

The name of the city is Haskovo. Haskovo is a small city in Bulgaria!

I freely admit that I was not a fan of tennis before the miracle – Grigor. But I started to follow his wins since he was junior. My father told me about him just because the mother of Grigor was my teacher in high school. I remember that my father told me that one day Grigor would be a great tennis star and perphaps he had no idea how right he were. So yeah we are all proud of Grigor. Ant the best part is that he is from my hometown. I will present you today some pictures of it. The hometown of me and Grigor Dimitrov. My city was known before all the great wins of Grigor as the city of Virgin Marry. But now it is the city of Grigor Dimitrov.

The monument of "The Holy Mother of God"

The monument of "The Holy Mother of God" in Haskovo is rising above the town from the Youth Hill. Virgin Mary with the Boy is considered as the the patron of the city. The sculpture, 14m high and weighing 80m, stands on a 17m pedestal, which is a chapel on the inside. The statue entered the "Religion" section of the Guinness Book as the highest statue of the Virgin Mary with the Child.

The Theater

The theater was built in 1926. It was renovated in 2004. He is one of the most beautiful and contemporary theaters in the country. The architecture is saved from the years of construction.

The Old Clock Tower

The clock tower of Haskovo was built in the early 19th century as a symbol of the city and of the economic upsurge. For some reason, in 1913 the city council took a decision to destroy it. But on 8th of September considered as the day of the city, Haskovo regains one of his symbols.

The Belfry

A belfry with impressive size and unforgettable view rises over the town of Haskovo. The bell tower is alomst 30 meter. It is located close to the Monument of the Virgin Mary

Haskovo is a small but beautiful city. Unfortunately there are no young people anymore because of lack of employment and an absence of nighlife. But I looove it.

And I come back there always with pleasure

Ich will gern zugeben, dass ich kein Tenisfan bevor Grigor war. Aber ich begann seine Siege zu verfolgen, seit er Junior war. Mein Vater erzählte mir von ihm, nur weil die Mutter von Grigor mein Lehrer im Gymnasium war. Ich erinnere mich, dass mein Vater mir sagte, dass Grigor eines Tages ein großer Tennisstar sein würde, und er hatte vieleicht keine Ahnung, dass er Recht hätte. Also ja, wir sind alle stolz auf Grigor. Am besten ist es, dass er aus meiner Heimatstadt kommt. Ich werde euch heute einige Bilder von der Stadt präsentieren. Die Heimatstadt von mir und Grigor Dimitrov. Meine Stadt war als die Stadt der Jungfrau Maria bekannt. Aber jetzt ist sie die Stadt von Grigor Dimitrov.

Das Denkmal der "Heiligen Mutter Gottes"

Das Denkmal der "Heiligen Mutter Gottes" in Haskowo erhebt sich vom Jugendberg über der Stadt. Jungfrau Maria mit dem Jungen gilt es als der Patron der Stadt. Die Skulptur, 14m hoch und 80m schwer, steht auf einem 17m Podest. In dem Denkmal gibt es eine Kapelle. Die Statue betrat den Abschnitt "Religion" des Guinness Buches als höchste Statue der Jungfrau Maria mit dem Kind.

Das Theater wurde 1926 gebaut. Es wurde im Jahr 2004 renoviert. Das Theater ist eines der schönsten und modernsten Theaters des Landes. Die Architektur der Baujahre bleibt erhalten.

Der Uhrenturm von Haskovo wurde im frühen 19. Jahrhundert als Symbol der Stadt und des wirtschaftlichen Aufschwungs gebaut. Aus irgendeinem Grund beschloss der Stadtrat im Jahr 1913, ihn zu zerstören. Aber am 8. September, der als der Tag der Stadt gilt, gewinnt Haskovo eines seiner Symbole zurück.

Der Belfried

Ein Glockenturm mit beeindruckender Größe und unvergesslicher Aussicht erhebt sich über der Stadt Haskovo. Der Glockenturm ist fast 30 Meter hoch. Es befindet sich in der nähe von dem Denkmal der Jungfrau Maria

Haskovo ist eine kleine, aber schöne Stadt. Leider gibt es keine jungen Leute mehr wegen Arbeitslosigkeit.

Aber ich liebe die Stadt obwohl ich da auch shcon nicht lebe..
