given enough water - you can grow pretty much anything here. But as a semi-arid zone-as in #California the value of #water is always increasing as our population grows. The great amount of rain I'm sure added to our aquafer- One that is being slowly drained by the almond tree growers- the water levels of the aquifer having fallen victim to the success of almond milk as a milk alternative for skinny folks that are afraid of fat and the lactose intolerant, of course. I had heard a podcast that said equipment used in oil drilling was being employed to get down to the ever falling level of groundwater. Talk about economic externalities.
