is an urban park located in the downtown area of the Venezuelan city of Maracay. It was inaugurated in 1930 by the then President of Venezuela General Juan Vicente Gómez, and named in honor of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, considered in his time the largest plaza in the city of Maracay and Venezuela. Located on the avenue Bolívar in front of the old façade of the governorship of the Aragua state, diagonal to the Maracay Opera House and next to the Dr. Efraín Abad Armas Urban Outpatient Clinic, the Bolívar plaza measures about 320 meters long by 106 wide and has the characteristic to be a good example of how nice the vegetation can be in the middle of the city
