~♫ Doctor Who Convention in Germany ♫~

Hey guys,

Before I show you my trip to Mexico, I would like to show you my impressions of the "Doctor Who Convention" in Germany, which ran from 28.10. - 29.10.2017, and took place in Kassel, Germany.

The convention is the first of this kind.

It all started with three Doctor Who fans who wanted to bring Doctor Who to Germany. They didn´t know that the series was already very popular among the German audience.

And that was the point where they began to run a crowdfunding campaign to make the first Doctor Who Convention possible.

I was so excited to be a part of the first Doctor Who Convention in Germany. I can´t discribe this feeling. I was so happy to meet other german Doctor Who fans. To talk to them about the same things. Which episode was the best? Which is you favourite Doctor? What do you think about the new Doctor? and some other wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.

The campaign went very well, and was sold out. Also in the following years.

Well... that was just the start of a big project.

Everything has developed very well over the years.

Many star guests were invited, and came. Amongst others, Peter Davison who played the fifth Doctor, Colin Baker who played the sixth doctor and Paul McGann who played the eighth Doctor. Also actors from the spin-off series "Torchwood" such as Gareth David-Lloyd, Naoko Mori and Kai Owen were invited to attend.

Doctor Who is a british SiFi series, which has been produced by the BBC since 1963.
It´s about a mysterious time traveler known only as "The Doctor". He travels with his companions in his time & space machine called the "TARDIS" (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space), which resembles an old police telephone box from the outside, and is much bigger on the inside.

I was there from the beginning, and it's really impressive to meet people with the same interests as onself. People who are just as crazy like you about the series.

This time I was part of the crew. We had various tasks from overlooking the toilets up to taking care of the guests.
It was really a great experience to be part of this crew.
And I will do the same in any case for the next few years.

I will show you all the lovely and beautiful people I met at the Convention.

Cosplay Contest

Of course there is a cosplay contest at every convention.
There were many Cosplayers again this year.
Most of there costumes are handmade and involve a lot of hard work.

There are several categories where you can win.

Best performance

There were three women in the jury

There´re passionate cosplayers and also tailors.

The name of this jury member is Adrian Steele, she is the Tailor of my superb Tardis dress.

The cosplay is from the episode "Voyage of the Damned" in which Kylie Minogue played as Astrid Peth, a waitress.

The TARDIS - (Time and Relative Dimension in Space). This girl was really awsome because she changed her outfit. After this performance, she wore a long black dress with built-in LEDs.

This is a very good Cosplayer of Madame Vastra. She is a Silurian a reptile-like humanoid and a member of the Paternoster Gang.

It has already rased a lot of attention.
