Lion, knights and the mask

I like walking. After all, even passing through familiar places you can notice something that previously was passed by.
Walking around the village I came across a tall fence that surprised me.

Along the fence, stone knights lined up.

In one of the sections there was a stone face looking like a frozen mask.

And on top rises the sculpture of a lion.

It looks strange alongside the ramshackle fences and old village houses. But Russia is the country of contrasts. :)
