Gyrshelunsky stone
Gyrshelunsky stone is a group of rocks up to 26 meters high, located on a mountain with a height of 1180 meters in the vicinity of the village Gyrshelun of the Trans-Baikal Territory of the Khilok District.
Gyrshelunskiy Stone is a local natural landmark and a target of tourist routes. Petroglyphs of the Selenga group, 3,000 years old, are found on the rocks - little men, a bird and a cross. Drawings are applied with brown ocher. It is believed that the ancient sanctuary was located here.
The mountain is covered with a thick pine forest, but its western and southern parts burnt out during a forest fire in the summer of 2004.
From the height of the rocks a wide, picturesque panorama of the Khilok River opens.
