For a photo chasing a moment, I usually set the ISO to Auto-ISO and set its shutter minimum to 1/400 sec or more. If you can not set minimum shutter, ISO should be set only manual. The benchmark if the day is still bright, can use ISO 100-200, but if the dark start such as cloudy day or late afternoon before sunset, safer to use ISO 400 or more. High ISO will help the camera get a fast shutter speed without making the photos dark.

Photo composition is important, but if it takes too long to think and move, the moment can pass. To pursue the moment, especially when the subject is moving or we move, it is better to take a photo first later in kroping.

Auto mode can fail, for example, the photo gets dark like the example photo in this paper. I usually use A / Av (Aperture priority) and matrix / evaluative metering modes.
