Photography : The dreaded fertility shrine of the Banfora

Many of us have had the luxury of traveling around the world. Many to beautiful cities with modern skyscrapers. Others to beach sides where the tropical air can sooth them. Personally i like to travel to remote African countries: not because its very easy and cheap to get there but to discover Africa's wealth and cultural heritage.
Here is a collection of photos from the famous yet dreaded Banfora shrine in Burkina Faso. This man made occultic enclave is famous for ritual killings, awful sacrifices and above all powerful voodoos relating to fertility and love. Many of my peers were afraid to enter when we were invited in by the witch Doctor.. but my curiosity had the best of me. Here are some rarely seen photos of the shrine idols.
