Living on a beach
Life on a beach - a dream for most everybody. A recap of the perks and benefits:
Check out these colours! In this article you'll find more of that and also my personal reflection of a dream come true.
Hello Steemians, my name is Alex and I collaborate with Graeme on this channel. Find my private steemit @alexanarcho.
Deprived of vastness
I grew up in Germany - nowhere near a body of water. Just a small town in the outskirts of Stuttgart. When vacation-time rolled around, my family and I did take trips to the North and Baltic Seas and to Italy, but it was just not a real experience one could describe as living on a beach.
What fascinated me nonetheless was the vastness of the water. Until the eye could see no more. At age 10, my brother and I took a blow-up boat and set to see in the Baltic Sea. We almost got sucked out in open water by the tide and were rescued by a lifeguard boat.
Point here is: Since the sea is so big, you are hit with the realisation how small you are.
Not to say that the sunsets where bad in Germany. Here are some shots from Germany.
But what is missing here for me is the distance. You just cannot see that far...
... as you can see when you stand in front of the biggest body of water on earth.
Beachlife
So, as you may know if you read my other Steem ( @alexanarcho), I recently moved to Acapulco with Graeme. Just about 100 meter away from the beach.
Interestingly enough, I found walks on the beach to be very therapeutic.
Since I live here, I have developed a habit of going to watch the sunset. Acapulco is on the Pacific coast, which means the sun sets over the ocean and plunges in the water at dusk.
Don't you love technology? Yeah! Capitalism! I'm blessed with a decent smartphone shooter (Nexus 6P), so here some snaps:

Conclusion
The sand underneath your feet. The warm water of the sea around your toes. The glistening sun dropping behind the horizon. The sky painted in the wildest colours. Clouds swelling over the ocean and catching the rays in different ways. As far as the eye can see.
It is a lot to take in, but it helps to put things into perspective, turn off your thoughts, and just be amazed at the wonders of nature.

thanks - looking forward to great things
I love the beach too, its such an awesome place with some amazing sounds. Well apart from the seagulls that is damn they irritate me.
Oh, that sucks, fortunately, we don't have any seagulls here - just mosquitos >.>
